BD&P CYCLING PROGRAM
2024 BD&P Cycling Club
2024 will be our 11th year of the club!
The BD&P Cycling Program allows the members of BD&P Law and their valued clients to meet up and enjoy a great hobby that promotes an active lifestyle and networking. The rides, once outside, will start at 6:30pm on Thursday evenings and will begin from varied locations that will be posted well in advance. The rides are facilitated by The Doctrine Training, who ensure your time is well spent, organized, as safe as possible, and fun.
If you are new to cycling or road cycling in general, don't be intimidated to register and join us. If you don't have a bike, shoot Trev (Head Coach) an email and we'll discuss your options.
We focus on providing valuable training for road cyclists of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. We are a friendly and inclusive cycling group and we appreciate your efforts to support this culture.

(Have a look through these to see some of the cool locations and restaurants we visited throughout the Summer of 2022)
For our fifthteenth ride on September 8th, we rode from Dandy Brewing in Ramsay.
For our fourteenth ride on September 1st, we rode from Hayden Block in Kensington. We did a South East loop and rode into the Sunset.
For our thirteen ride on August 25th, we rode from Highline Brewing in Inglewood. We rode up the Edgemont Forest path.
For our eleventh ride on August 11th, we rode from Kildares in the deep South. We rode the Leighton Centre Loop.
For our tenth ride on August 4th, we rode from National for a second time, however this route was West right onto the roads of Springbank.
For our nineth ride on July 28th, we rode from Mad Rose in Rocky Ridge and straight North West. The roads seemed devoid of cars and the scenery was lush.
For our eighth ride on July 21st, we rode from Starr Distilling and straight North as far as possible. There was a touch of gravel to teach our cyclists some extra skills, as well as blue skies and no wind. Perfect night.
For our seventh ride on July 7th, we rode from Fergus & Bix (The Old Haunt) and straight into the awesome roads of Northern Springbank. There was a tornado warning about 2 hours before the ride, however, by 6:30pm, it was blue skies, windless, and quiet. Perfect night.
For our sixth ride on June 30th, we rode from National Westhills and straight into the awesome trails of the Western side of Fish Creek park. The pathways were almost deserted and the vegetation was super lush due to the rainforest like conditions Calgary has been having (minus the heat).
For our fifth ride on June 23rd, we rode from the Charbar and didn't see a drop of rain! The ride was meant to finish on their rooftop patio, but the weather was threatening a deluge all day.
The staff at Charbar rolled with the potential rain and gave us our own room inside like we would have had on the Rooftop!
For our fourth ride on June 16th, we rode from the Bitter Sisters Brewing.
The staff at Bitter Sisters sensed our enthusiasm and gave us our own upstairs room!
For our third ride on June 8th, we rode from Leopold's Tavern in Bowness .
It was supposed to be the 'Scotch Egg Edition', however the punch bowl of Poutine quickly upstaged the Eggs.
For our second ride on June 2nd, we rode from Cabin Brewing.
The Super Saturation Edition.
For our first ride on May 26th, we rode from Cassis Bistro and watched Game 5 of the playoffs after.
BD&P is supporting the App called 529 Garage. It is a crowd sourcing method of identifying and recovering stolen bicycles. Load it on your phone and register your bikes and help your community unite against bike theft.
